John F. Nash
on May 24, 1865 in Sicard Flat California, John F. Nash served as the
fifth president of the college.
Originally hired as a college instructor, Nash took to the principalship with vigor and helped increase public awareness and confidence in the school. He was able to boost enrollment through a public awareness campaign.
Additionally, Nash thought it important to improve the college's appearance. He developed a beatification plan for the college that made the campus a pleasant setting for academic and religious learning.
