Monster Athletic Update

Football defeated Hutchinson CC 48-34 in the Salt City Bowl on Saturday in Hutchinson, KS. Monsters finish the season 8-4 and are now 2-1 in the Salt City Bowl.

Defensive back, Drewshun Miller, freshman from Kennesaw, GA, was the Defensive MVP of the game. He returned an interception 78 yards for a touchdown – a Salt City Bowl record to put the Monsters up 21-7 early in the second quarter.

Running back Wilbur Cooper, freshman from Winterhaven, FL, was the Offensive MVP of the game. He carried the ball 15 times for 72 yards and a touchdown. Cooper also threw a 30 yard touchdown pass to Isiah Esdale, freshman from Elton, MD.

QB Quaderius Clemmons, a freshman from Griffin, GA, finished with four passes, 120 yards, and a touchdown. He rushed 10 times for 50 yards. His touchdown pass to Christopher Brinson, sophomore from Savannah, GA, for 84 yards is the longest in Salt City Bowl history.

Women’s Basketball lost to Pima 44-86. Lady Monsters travel to Phoenix on Saturday for a 2:00pm game.

Men’s Basketball lost to Pima 77-87. Monsters travel to Phoenix on Saturday for a 4:00pm game.

Congratulations to volleyball's AveRee Knowles who recently was named 1st Team All-American. AveRee was also 1st Team All ACCAC, 1st Team All Region I, and Region I/District B Championship game MVP. She is a freshman from Logan, UT.
