Eastern Arizona College designated as ASE certification testing site

THATCHER, AZ —The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will offer its full complement of ASE certification tests for automotive/diesel repair professionals and parts specialists this spring at Eastern Arizona College over the course of three evenings: May 8, 13, and 15, 2008 at 6:45 p.m. in South Campus Classroom #3. The registration deadline is Monday, March 31, 2008.
ASE offers certification tests in the following specialties: Automobile, Automobile Service Consultant, Medium/Heavy Truck, Truck Equipment, Collision Repair and Refinish, Engine Machinist, Alternate Fuels/CNG, Parts Specialist, School Bus, and Advanced Series.
To register for the ASE certification tests, students need to contact ASE directly by calling their toll-free information line at 1-888-273-8378; by calling ASE Customer Service at (703) 669-6600; or by visiting ASE’s website at www.ase.com. When registering for the tests, students will need to provide EAC’s test center code in order to sign up for the correct testing location. EAC’s test center code is #8753.
Catalogs of ASE tests containing sample questions, test specifications, task lists, and references to study materials, can be viewed or downloaded at no charge from the ASE website as well.
ASE was founded in 1972 as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive professionals. ASE-certified professionals wear blue and white ASE insignia and carry credentials listing their exact areas of certification. Their employers often display the blue and white ASE sign. Over 400,000 professionals hold ASE credentials.
