The Arizona SBDC Network was proud to honor 14 statewide small businesses at the 2007 Success Awards Event. Held on February 21st at the Heard Museum in Phoenix. Over 200 guests were in attendance to congratulate these businesses for their entrepreneurial success and hence their significant contribution to the economic vitality of our state.

Each Success Award winner was nominated by their respective SBDC Business Counselor. The winners represented a wide range of industries from retail to service to manufacturing. A number of matrices were used to determine which businesses would become Success Award winners. These included economic impact factors such as job creation/retention and sales increases. In fact, among their many achievements are a combined total of 273 jobs created/retained and $25,643,687 in revenue generated.

Gila Valley Appliance Repair, LLC owned by George and Colleen Rocha of Pima, was recognized for its outstanding growth as well as its commitment to its employees and customers. The business is currently in the process of building and moving into a new location on 5th Avenue in Safford.
