Thatcher, AZ—EAC is celebrating its 125th Anniversary with a weekend’s worth of events on September 13 and 14, 2013. The entire community is invited to participate. As part of the celebration, the College is organizing a homecoming parade, which will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The parade route begins at the Thatcher High School parking lot and progresses west on Church Street, heading toward the College’s John Mickelson Football Stadium.

Families, businesses, and other organizations are invited to show their community spirit by entering the parade.

“The parade theme is ‘Happy 125th Birthday, EAC!’ and floats/entries are encouraged to reflect a fun, party atmosphere, congratulating the College on this outstanding milestone,” said Geoff DeSpain, EAC band director and one of the members of the parade committee. “We are thrilled to celebrate with a traditional football homecoming parade to help the community get into the spirit of the occasion.”

To enter the parade, visit and fill out the online parade entry application form. There is no entry fee; however, applications received after Friday, August 30, 2013, will be charged a $50 late fee. Information about the other EAC 125th Anniversary events can also be found at the same site. For more information about the parade and how to enter, call parade committee chair, Jody Peck, at (928) 792-6516.
