EAC offering ESL and language classes using Rosetta Stone

Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Languages Department is once again offering an English as a Second Language (ESL) course the spring semester, along with French and Spanish, as an open entry/open exit developmental language classes. The ESL, French, and Spanish classes can be taken as a one, two, or three credit course. The courses are: ENG095 (1 credit) section #9002, ENG095 (2 credits) section #9001, ENG095 (3 credits) section #9000, FRE090 (1 credit) section #9008, FRE090 (2 credits) section #9007, FRE090 (3 credits) section #9006, SPA090 (1 credit) section #9142, SPA090 (2 credits) section #9143, SPA090 (3 credits) section #9144.
“The course emphasizes listening comprehension, sentence structure, vocabulary, and pronunciation,” says instructor for the courses, Tonka Curtis. “Each of these will be learned through the use of the Rosetta Stone software.”
