EAC’s spring auditions set for the musical “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying”
By Jessica Morgenthaler
Thatcher, AZ—Auditions for Eastern Arizona College’s spring musical, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, will be held January 21-23, with primary auditions on January 21 from 6-8 p.m., dance auditions, on January 22 from 6-8 p.m., and call backs (if needed), on January 23 from 6-8 p.m. in the EAC Fine Arts Auditorium.
Community members are encouraged to audition; however, all those auditioning should be prepared to commit to the rehearsal schedule. For the first night, interested performers should prepare a short song and a brief monologue, each about one minute long. An accompanist and a CD player will be available as needed, and their use is strongly suggested. Dance auditions will be held on the second night and it is important to dress comfortably. This musical has a large amount of dance numbers and all interested in participating must attend.
A call-back list will be posted on Friday, January 23, 2014, and only those on the list will need to come to the call-backs that night. The performance dates for this show are April 2-5, 2014.
“This is a great show and an all-time favorite in the American musical theatre repertoire,” says Trish Jordahl, EAC’s Musical Theatre director and Fine Arts Division chair. “There are many great roles and we look forward to a wonderful experience in producing this show.”
Jordahl encourages all interested individuals to come and audition. For more information contact Jordahl at (928) 428-8467 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
