EAC offering ESL and Spanish classes using Rosetta Stone for summer

Thatcher, AZ—For the first time, Eastern Arizona College’s Languages Department is offering an Interactive English as a Second Language (ESL) Lab course and Interactive Spanish Lab course for summer, using the Rosetta Stone software. This is an open entry/open exit developmental language class and can be taken as a one, two, or three credit course. The courses forInteractive English Lab are: ENG095 section number #9009 (3 credits), ENG095 section number #9010 (2 credits), and ENG095 section number #9011 (1 credit). For Interactive Spanish Lab, the courses are: SPA090 section number #9004 (3 credits), SPA090 section number #9003 (2 credits), SPA090 section number #9002 (1 credit).
“The course emphasizes listening comprehension, sentence structure, vocabulary, and pronunciation,” says instructor for the English course, Tonka Curtis. “Each of these will be learned through the use of the Rosetta Stone software.”
The classes will begin May 27 and will go through August 1 and will available in the AP Building, Room 241.
