EAC announces “Gila Valley Day Hikes” at Discovery Park Campus

Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College's Discovery Park Campus Lecture Series welcomes local author and researcher Don Lancaster, with his latest in “Gila Valley Day Hikes.” On Saturday, January 24, from 6-7 p.m.
Lancaster will cover exciting hiking adventures including the San Carlos Falls, Hannah Hot Springs, El Capitan Canyon, the Safford Grids, and the UFO Fish Fillets of Taylor Canyon. The talk will be held at the EAC Discovery Park Campus-Jupiter Room. Portions of the talk are available at Hikes!
“Come and enjoy this fun presentation with lots of interesting stories and photographs to pique your interest, and gain new insights into beauty and history that can be found throughout the Gila Valley,” said Paul Anger, Discovery Park Campus director.
As always, tours of the Gallery and “History of Astronomy,” exciting Space Shuttle “Polaris” simulator rides and public viewing of the night sky objects through the Tinsley Telescope in Discovery Park’s Gov Aker Observatory, all free of charge and minutes away from home.
