EAC Drama to perform 12 Angry Women next week
By Lori Dugan
THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Drama Department will present 12 Angry Women on November 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m. in South Campus classroom/theatre-3 (located near the north entrance of Guitteau Gymnasium). Admission to the dramatic offering is $3/person.
12 Angry Women is the penetrating examination of a diverse group of twelve jurors who are uncomfortably brought together to deliberate after hearing the ‘facts’ in a seemingly open-and-shut murder trial case. They retire to a jury room to do their civic duty and serve up a just verdict for the indigent minority defendant whose life is in the balance.
The play is being directed by Rustin L. Odom who says in the director’s note: “When dealing with a person’s life, should we make guesses and estimations or should the facts against him be exact and precise to a tee? Sometimes we need to be reminded that strangers are real people and not just a background. It takes a lot of courage to stand alone.”
Tickets are on sale at the EAC Ticket Office located in the Gherald L. Hoopes Jr. Activities Center and will also be available at the door.
