EAC’s 20th annual Starlight Strings concert, “Strings Stravaganza,” set for next week

Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Chamber Orchestra will offer its 20th annual Starlight Strings concert, “Strings Stravaganza,” on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., in the EAC Activities Center – Lee Little Theater. Admission is free for all attendees. The entire performance will be under the direction of EAC’s orchestra director, Franklin Alvarez.
The orchestra will perform Praeludium from Suite im alten Style arranged by Georg Hoth, Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 1 composed by Arcangelo Corelli, War March of the Priest arranged by Felix Mendelssohn, Concerto in A Minor composed by Antonio Vivaldi, Suite for String Orchestra arranged by Christopher Wilson, Two Keyboard Sonatas, composed by Domenico Scarlatti, Incidental Music from Rosamunde arranged by Franz Schubert, and Finale from Symphony No.1, composed by Ludwig van Beethoven.
“This annual concert has become a tradition at EAC,” said Alvarez. “Join us this year and start a new tradition for your family.” Admission is free and the concert is suitable for all audiences.
