EAC offers new Electrical and Instrumentation Technology class, National Electric Code, this spring

Thatcher, AZ— Eastern Arizona College is pleased to announce a new class in its Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Department. ELT 251 National Electric Code, section #0501, will be offered this spring on Wednesday evenings (beginning January 6), from 6-8:30 p.m., in the Industrial Technology Building, classroom #5, on the College’s South Campus.
Instructed by Charles Smith, this class introduces the students to the current NEC regulations and standards pertaining to electrical components and systems including wiring methods, materials, conductors, overcurrent protective devices, branch circuits and feeders, grounding, transformers, services, special locations, and calculations.
“The purpose of this class is the practical safeguarding of persons and property from hazards arising from the use of electricity,” says Smith.
