EAC's String Orchestra to present Epic Stories

Thatcher, AZ— Eastern Arizona College's String Orchestra is proud to present Epic Stories, a recital with pieces taken from ancient stories and operas. Epic Stories will be performed on February 21, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at EAC's Activities Center- Lee Little Theater. Admission is free.

The recital will include songs from the early operas Iphigenia in Tauris, Rodrigo, Rienzi , and Orpheus in the Underworld . It will also include pieces driven from the well-known stories of Venus and Adonis, Don Quixote, Helen, Countess of Rador , and Athaliah .

"My students have worked hard to prepare these arrangements for the community," said Franklin Alvarez, EAC's Orchestra conductor. "They can't wait to showcase the skills and talents they have as a whole."
