THATCHER, AZ—EAC’s Education Department partnered recently with the Safford/Graham County Library to bring Dinosaur Days to the lawn of the Safford City Hall Annex on Wednesday, October 3, to provide an educational activity day for the county’s young learners, as well as an opportunity for the College’s education majors to design, execute, and evaluate a learning activity.
“The event was the result of an initial association between the College and Pima Public Library,” explained EAC Education Instructor Joanne Ellsworth. “From the experience with Pima, the Safford Library extended an invitation to us to replicate a similar event. Now we have one (Safford) for first semester students and another (Pima) for second semester.”
The event has now been incorporated into the EDU200 curriculum so that EAC students will have more contact with young learners.
