Storytelling event to feature EAC favorite, Glenda Bonin
By Lori Dugan
THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Speech Communications Department will be hosting storyteller, Glenda Bonin for a reading on November 2 at 7:30 p.m. at Discovery Park Campus’ Circle D Ranch. The public is invited to attend this free reading that will be suitable for all ages.
As a storyteller, story teacher, performer, and workshop presenter for more than twenty-five years, Bonin loves what she does. Her experience includes work with grades kindergarten through 12, college classes, library programs, and community events. Her storytelling often includes puppetry, magic, theatre arts, and creative writing activities. “Storytelling is a person-to-person experience. It is a time to imagine and share wisdom and truth,” said Bonin.
“Glenda has come to the Gila Valley four times before,” said EAC Speech Communications Instructor Lee Russell. “Her tellings are magical and uplifting. Over the years I have seen many tellers and she is right up there with the best. Come and enjoy being transported into a tradition that is as old as human kind.”
