EAC announces GED testing dates for 2008

THATCHER, AZ—Local GED (General Education Development) testing opportunities have been announced for EAC’s Thatcher Campus. No testing will be offered in January; however, testing will resume on February 5-6, 2008. The last day to pre-register and pay for the February test is January 29, 2008.
Individuals wanting to take the test will need to call EAC’s Evaluation Technician Jerri Lukens at 428-8491 to pre-register. GED candidates will also need to complete pre-registration paperwork, present 2-forms of ID, and pre-pay the $65 testing fee for full GED Testing, or $10 for each retest, by the above deadline in order to take their GED test.
All fees should be paid at EAC’s Fiscal Control Department located in the Student Services Building during regular business hours. Bring your receipt at the time of pre-registration as verification of payment. Once payment is made there are NO REFUNDS. Pre-registration due dates are subject to change.

According to EAC’s Evaluation Center staff, the GED test is actually a battery of tests consisting of five separate tests—writing skills, social studies, science, reading, and mathematics—that measure the general skills and knowledge acquired in a four-year high school program of study.

*March, July, and October tests will be administered from 5-10 p.m. in the AP Building, Room 274.
**February, April, May, June, September, November, and December tests will be administered from 8 a.m. -2 p.m., both days, in the College’s Evaluation Center located inside the Student Services Building.
