SBDC and NFL to bring big names/prizes to Superbowl SBDC Workshop

THATCHER, AZ—Local small businesses can learn the ABC’s of online branding from the experts on January 9 at a free workshop hosted by Eastern Arizona College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the NFL Community Outreach Program.

The workshop, entitled Get in the Big Game: Creating, Promoting and Protecting Your Online Brand, will feature presentations by CEO and Founder Bob Parsons, Institute for Entrepreneurship Founder Peter Burns III, and SBDC branding expert Lori Martinek, who owns a successful national marketing and PR firm.

The workshop will take place from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m on Wednesday, January 9. It will be broadcast live to 17 moderated locations across Arizona via the Northern Arizona University interactive television network. Participants will be able to interact with the presenters and ask questions from all sites. There will be refreshments and outstanding networking opportunities offered at each location.

In addition to learning the latest strategies for affordable online marketing, small business owners who participate in the workshop will be eligible to win valuable prizes including computers, Sprint telecommunication products, and a pair of tickets to Super Bowl XLII, which will be held in Glendale on February 3. Winners must be present to win the prizes on the day of the workshop. The winner of the Super Bowl tickets will be drawn from all registrants on January 26.

The workshop is free, but participants must register in advance online by visiting and choosing a location. There are only ten seats left at the Eastern Arizona College location in Thatcher.
