THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Drama Department will be holding auditions this week for South Pacific, a musical which will be presented by EAC’s Drama and Music Theatre Departments.

Auditions for South Pacific will be held Tuesday and Wednesday Jan. 17 and 18, from 5-8 p.m. in EAC’s Choir Room (FA-111), which is located at the southwest corner of the Fine Arts Center complex on the school’s South Campus.

“Auditioners should have a prepared song to sing that lasts no longer than two minutes,” says EAC Musical Theatre Director, Trish Jordahl.

“We will have an accompanist available for those who may need one and will also have the auditioners do some improvisation,” concluded Jordahl.

All who audition should also be prepared to return on Thursday, Jan. 19, for the dance auditions at 5 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Callbacks will be held as needed on Friday, Jan. 20 or Monday, Jan. 23, with exact time and place announced at the dance auditions.

South Pacific will be performed March 31, April 1, 3, 7, 8 and 10, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Rehearsals will be held Monday through Thursday evenings from 7-10 p.m., with some Saturday rehearsals and longer rehearsals as needed.

Auditions are open to anyone who is interested and over the age of 17. For more information, contact Jordahl at 428-8467 or Delia Mattice at 428-8354 at EAC during regular business hours.
