THATCHER, AZ—EAC’s Discovery Park Campus presents the next “Discover Anthropology at the Discovery Park Campus” lecture series at a new time and a different location with Sinagua Ruins at the Wupatki National Monument at 7:30 p.m. in the Discovery Park Campus’ Grand Kiva.

EAC Discovery Park Campus Dean Harry Swanson will show pictures from some of his several trips to amazing ruins. The audience will view the components of six of the major habitation sites in the Wupatki area including Big House, Tall House, Beautiful House, Neighbor’s House, a Hohokam ball court, a natural air conditioning system called the “Blow Hole,” and much more.

“It will be great fun to watch the sun set through the summer solstice notch in the great kiva,” says Swanson. “And, of course, all your anthropology friends will be here enjoying this FREE program!”

He also reminds the community to, “bring the kids and enjoy the beautiful evening outside together before it gets too hot.”

For extra comfort there will be some stadium cushions on hand; however, bringing your boat cushion or stadium seat, if available, will ensure comfortable seating for all.

For more information about this lecture or the Discovery Park Campus, contact Swanson at (928) 428-6260.
