THATCHER, AZ—As a part of its Small Business Management program, Eastern Arizona College will offer a new class for small business owners this fall. Financial Management (SBM211, Section #0590) will cover decision-making from a financial standpoint and will include all the basics for understanding the financial aspects of a small business.
“This class is not just for students in our Small Business Management program,” explains EAC business instructor, Mark Anderson. “Small business owners and managers in the community or even those considering starting a small business will find the class very valuable.”
The three-credit class will discuss various principles of financial management, including key concepts such as financial planning, analyzing financial statements, working capital management, break-even analysis, and raising capital, with an emphasis on using these concepts for making effective business decisions.
The class meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9 p.m. in SC-6 beginning August 19.
To register, visit www.eac.edu and enroll online or call the EAC Records and Registration Office at (928) 428-8270. Regular tuition and fees apply. Students already enrolled in Fall 2008 classes may be able to add this class at no extra charge.
