EAC to offer orientation for new students on August 13 and 14

THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Counseling Department will offer a half-day orientation program for new students, transfer students, and parents. The program, entitled “Orientation for Student Success,” will be offered twice to accommodate attendees’ schedules: the first on Wednesday, August 13 and the second on Thursday, August 14. Both sessions are scheduled from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and will take place in the College’s Academic Programs Building in Room 118.
Students and their parents will find out about:
• Advising
• Counseling
• Career guidance
• Employment assistance
• Scholarships
• Financial aid
Attendees will learn about how to be safe, stay healthy, the College’s housing options, and campus activities and student organizations.
Information geared to Native American and re-entry students will also be highlighted.
