THATCHER, AZ—The Desert Sky Gazers amateur astronomy club, in partnership with Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park Campus, will present a free slide show and lecture about the constellation “Pegasus” on Saturday, September 27, 2008, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Jupiter Room at Discovery Park Campus.

The slide show is suitable for all ages, and will be presented by Nancy Swanson, a member of the Desert Sky Gazers. Following the presentation will be a night of sky gazing through the twenty inch Tinsley reflector and the Desert Sky Gazers’ ten inch Dobsonian reflector.

Harry Swanson, dean of EAC’s Discovery Park Campus, invites everyone to attend this presentation, saying, “There are some beautiful galaxies located within this constellation, including Stephan’s Quintet, a series of five interacting galaxies of great beauty.”
