By Jeanné Clark
THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College dance instructor, Starla Wright, will be demonstrating clogging at the 9th Annual Harvest Festival on the main stage at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
Wright has been teaching clogging for over fifteen years and currently teaches Beginning Clogging I (DAN 134) at Eastern Arizona College. This class will be offered again in the Spring 2009 semester, which starts in January, and anyone interested in enrolling should register for section #5732. The personal interest class will be held on Tuesday evenings at Discovery Park Campus. Upon completing Beginning Clogging I, students will have the opportunity to continue in the intermediate level class.
“We encourage everyone to check out the demonstration to see what clogging is all about,” says Wright. “If you like what you see, then sign up for the clogging class at EAC!”
Clogging can be done with or without clogging taps, and all that is required for the class is a pair of comfortable athletic shoes. Beginning Clogging I is taught line dance style without partners.
To register for this class, contact the Records and Registration Office at 428-8270, or register online at www.eac.edu. ### Eastern Arizona College dance instructor, Starla Wright (far right), will be demonstrating clogging at the 9th Annual Harvest Festival on the main stage at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
