EAC student musicians to entertain home crowd on Feb. 21

THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s music students will be performing their tour show for the home crowd on Feb. 21, the evening prior to their departure for three days of performances in a number of southeastern Arizona communities.
EAC’s annual spring “Pre-Tour Concert,” will be held at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 21, in EAC’s Fine Arts Auditorium and will feature a variety of EAC choral and instrumental groups including EAC Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, A Cappella Choir, Choraleers, 4+4 Vocal Ensemble, Beautyshoppe Quartette, and Harmony Express Men’s Quartet.
During the three-day Music Department tour, EAC’s musical groups will perform concerts at schools in Morenci, Duncan, Willcox, Sierra Vista, Santa Cruz (Eloy), and a special concert at the Mission San Xavier del Bac south of Tucson.
Some of the selections to be performed include: Ave Maria (Beibl), Ave Maria (Bruckner), Consecrate the Place and Day, Cry Out and Shout, Gaelic Blessing, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, Idyll of Praise, Battle Hymn of the Republic, O Holy Jesus, Lux Arumque, The Joy of Mary, Bandstand Boogie, Wind Beneath My Wings, Tear The Walls Down, Unchained II, Leader of the Pack, Three Little Fishies, Cause I'm a Blond, and I Got Rhythm.
The annual Music Department tour is one way the College has of showing prospective EAC students some of its programs in action.
Admission to the show is free.
