EAC’s Discovery Park Campus to host “Successful eBay Buying and Selling Strategies”
By Jeanné Schaser
THATCHER, AZ— Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park Campus Lecture Series continues this week with a free, family-friendly slideshow and lecture titled, “Successful eBay Buying and Selling Strategies,” to be presented by Don Lancaster on February 6, 2010, at 6:30 p.m., in the Jupiter Room of Discovery Park Campus.
“This lecture by Lancaster, who runs a successful Gila Valley eBay trading venture, will cover buying and selling on eBay,” says Harry Swanson, dean of Discovery Park Campus. “If you’ve ever contemplated using eBay to sell all those unused gadgets gathering dust in your garage, or you want to purchase the perfect gift at bargain prices, this lecture is for you.”
“The usual eBay buyer mistakes involve not understanding proxy bidding and failing to bid only once, very late in the auction,” says Lancaster. “By far the biggest eBay seller mistake is having too low a profit margin. A minimum of a 30:1 sell/buy ratio is strongly recommended. The minimum profitable eBay sale is typically $19.63.”
