Spring ASE Certification Testing Schedule Announced

THATCHER, AZ—The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will offer its full complement of fifty-plus certification tests for repair professionals and parts specialists this spring at over 750 locations throughout the United States and Canada. Locally, the tests will be offered at Eastern Arizona College over the course of three evenings on May 6, 11, and 13, in South Campus Classroom #3. The registration deadline is March 31, 2010.
ASE offers certification tests in the following specialties: Automobile, Automobile Service Consultant, Medium/Heavy Truck, Truck Equipment, School Bus, Transit Bus, Collision Repair and Refinish, Engine Machinist, Alternate Fuels, Parts Specialist, and Advanced Series.

The online registration option opened December 1, 2009, at the ASE website, while telephone registration will be available beginning March 1, 2010 (Toll-free, 1-866-427-3273). These methods are in addition to the traditional mail-in method.
When registering for the tests, students will need to provide EAC’s test center code in order to sign up for the correct testing location. EAC’s test center code is #8753.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was founded in 1972 as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive professionals. ASE-certified professionals wear blue and white ASE insignia and carry credentials listing their exact areas of certification. Their employers often display the blue and white ASE sign. About 400,000 professionals hold ASE credentials.
