THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park Campus Lecture Series continues with a free, family-friendly slideshow and lecture entitled, “Critters of Discovery Park Campus” on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. in the Jupiter Room of Discovery Park Campus. At this program, Harry Swanson, dean of Discovery Park Campus, will share a number of photos of wildlife that have been spotted on Discovery Park Campus since EAC acquired it in 2006.
“The diversity of wildlife at our campus is becoming ‘the stuff of legend,’” says Swanson. “We are, of course, known for having many, many rattlesnakes and Gila monsters, but some visitors are not aware that we also have foxes, javalinas, and a rhinoceros or two—honest, come see the pictures! I’ll show you bobcats and bugs, spiders and sliders, and dogs and frogs.”
“And, as has become our custom,” continues Swanson, “a select few will also walk away with a Discovery Park Campus Devil’s Claw ‘critter’ of their own.”
