THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park Campus will present a free family friendly lecture on Saturday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m., in the Jupiter Room of Discovery Park Campus, entitled, “Cowboys and Cowgirls Don’t Wear Tutus,” given by Gila Valley poet Bunny Dryden.

“Dryden will present her entertaining talk on why workers in the cattle industry wear and use the gear they do,” says Harry Swanson, dean of Discovery Park Campus. “This lecture is a continuation of the Discovery Park Campus Lecture Series, which is expanding to include pivotal personalities from our local communities. Come on out with the family and learn about the apparel of historic and contemporary cowboys and cowgirls.”

“We are all familiar with the giving nature of the Dryden family,” continues Swanson. “Tad teaches horseshoeing here at the Discovery Park Campus, Newell is the welding instructor for EAC, and everybody knows Bunny's talent and involvement with promotion of cowboy poetry. She is also very entertaining in her delivery of information about ‘academy award-winning’ cowboy clothes.”
