EAC presents The Importance of Being Earnest
By Jeanné Schaser
THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Theatre Department will present four performances of Oscar Wilde’s classic comedy of manners, The Importance of Being Earnest on April 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and April 24 at 2 p.m. in EAC South Campus Classroom #3.
“From the classic repertory there is hardly a better play written in the style of comedy of manners,” says the play’s director, Dan Robbins. “As usual with my style of directing, we wanted to add a level of physical humor to accentuate the witty dialogue, so the audience is sure to get a laugh out of this performance!”
This will be the final performance for several EAC Theatre students who have been active in a number of productions during their time at the College. Jensen Clifford, Angela Efros, Brett Merrill, Randi Sanders, Chelsea Shepard, Trinity Stupey, Isaac Wilson, and Danielle Wojcik are all graduating this May and will be greatly missed in the EAC Theatre Department.
Tickets are $2 for adults and are on sale now at the EAC Ticket Office and will be available at the door as well. Full-time EAC students with ID receive free admission. Call (928) 428-8228 for more information.
