EAC’s Fall Sing 2005: America Sings!
Eastern Arizona College’s ever popular Fall Sing will see the return of beloved EAC Choir Director, Dr. David Lunt this year with an America Sings themed production that is scheduled to take EAC’s Fine Arts Center Stage Oct. 27 & 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 29 at 2 p.m.
Audiences can look forward to performances by the A Cappella Choir, Choraleers, Women's Chorale, Men's Chorus, 4+4 Vocal Ensemble, Beautyshoppe Quartette and Harmony Express Men's Quartet.
“Come ready to laugh, cry, and enjoy life through music. Our musical journey, entitled America Sings! will take you through traditional songs, Latin American songs, hilarious songs, songs that will tug at your heart strings, and an ‘egg-citing’ patriotic finale will feature the combined choirs singing songs that will ‘make your socks roll up and down,’ as Dr. Gary Sorensen says!” Said Dr. Lunt of the show.
Some songs you'll enjoy: The Star Spangled Banner, EAC Alma Mater, River in Judea, Stouthearted Men!, I’ll Walk with God, Get Me to the Church on Time!, Ave Maria, Idyll of Praise, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, Battle Hymn of the Republic, PDQ Bach’s The Passionate Shepherd To His Love, Salsa Picante!, Go the Distance, Baby Bumble Bee, Fred, Zombie Jamboree, The More I See You, The Very Thought of You, Chiquita Banana, Li’l Darlin’, Aquarius, Do You Hear the People Sing?, Song for a Russian Child, and The Golden Dream.
“What a treat to be back at EA! These ‘kids’ have opened up their hearts to me, and we've locked minds and hearts already! What a sound! What a feeling! I'm grateful for the invitation to ‘drive Bruce Bishop's red corvette’ for a year...I'm lovin' it to pieces!” said Lunt.
Admission for reserved and general admission tickets is $4/person. Tickets are available at EAC’s Ticket Office by calling 428-8228, or can be purchased at the door. 30
