2006 Spring Sing

THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Choral Music Department proudly presents the Twenty-Sixth Annual Spring Sing entitled Celebrate Life! The production is directed by EAC Interim Choir Director, Dr. David Lunt. Celebrate Life! will be performed on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. The musical production will also have a matinee performance on Saturday, April 29 at 2 p.m. All of the performances will take place in EAC’s Fine Arts Auditorium and are designed to be fun for entire families. Come and support EAC’s Music Department by bringing the whole family to this exciting annual musical event.
The program will feature the following musical groups: A Cappella Choir, Choraleers, Women’s Beautyshoppe Quartette and Men’s Harmony Express Quartet, 4+4 Vocal Ensemble, Women’s Chorale, and Men’s Chorus; and will include echo choirs, accompaniment with full orchestra, string quartet, flutes, violin, cloggers, and square dancers.
“The old-style program is intended to allow the audience to experience music as real as life itself...to laugh, cry, and to travel to special places and special feelings,” Said Lunt.
Selections include Consecrate the Place and Day, Ave Maria/Biebl, Lux Arumque, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, Cape Breton Lullaby, The Colors of My Life, Grumble Too Much, For the Beauty of the Earth, Mosquitoes, Abrazo Pa Mi Padre, My Mustache, These Arms of Mine, Sam the Old Accordion Man, O Sifuni Mungu, On Eagle’s Wings, O Birdland, Second Hand Rose, Tuxedo Junction, Misty, Leader of the Pack, The Pirates Song!, Three Little Fishies, Tear Down the Walls!, ‘Cause I’m a Blond, I Ain’t Down Yet, In This Very Room, Climb Every Mountain, and The Lord Bless You and Keep You.
