THATCHER, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Early Childhood Education Department, in partnership with Safford City Graham County Library, will co-host Dinosaur Days on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. This year the come and go event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library, located at 808 7th Avenue in Safford.
The annual event provides an educational activity day for young children ages 3-5. Children will be able to participate in a variety of dinosaur activities, including listening to stories, games, arts and crafts and music/movement. The children will rotate between the activities, and it will take about an hour to complete all of the activities.
This event is free to all children. “Children will have opportunities to express themselves through art, play games, listen to stories and learn new things in the process,” says the head of EAC’s Early Childhood Education Department, JoAnn Morales. EAC’s early childhood education students will be on hand to assist with the activities, but parents are asked to stay with their children while participating in the fun. All materials will be provided. Children should wear comfortable clothing. Water will be provided.
