EAC SBDC Director Named Chairman of Arizona State SBDC’s Counselor Certification Committee

THATCHER, AZ—Michael Fox, Director of the Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center (SBDC), was appointed as the chairman of the Arizona State SBDC’s Counselor Certification Committee by Acting State Director Rich Senopole on Thursday, April 20, 2006.

The Counselor Certification Committee ensures that all SBDC center directors and counselors in the state wide network meet the stringent educational and business experience requirements imposed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. As chairman of the committee, Fox will oversee the committee’s operations. “The Arizona SBDC Network is made up of an impressive group of professionals,” said Fox, “It is an honor to work with such a talented and dedicated group of people.”

“This is a significant honor for Mike and speaks highly of the services he provides,” said EAC Dean of Instruction, Dr. Hal Weaver, “It’s always an indicator of excellence to be recognized by one’s colleagues.”

The Eastern Arizona College SBDC is a program sponsored jointly by Eastern Arizona College and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
