Introducing a new video editing course for family history
By Todd Haynie
Thatcher, AZ—EAC’s Media Communications Department will offer a new video editing class for the Spring 2011 semester geared toward community members entitled, “Video Editing for Family History,” (MDC108, Section #0736). The two-credit course will teach students how to assemble photos, slides, audio tapes, and home videos onto a DVD with menus that is easily distributed to family and friends.
Students will also learn to capture video to a computer, add titles and sound, and edit the information into a final video presentation using the Adobe Premiere video editing software for PCs.
“This course is great for learning how to create presentations for wedding receptions, family reunions, mission memories, and other events,” explains course instructor Dee Lauritzen.
The course will meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:10 p.m. in ITB-3. For more information, contact Lauritzen at (928) 428-8433, or register at (928) 428-8270 or online at www.eac.edu.
