EAC students win iPads for survey participation
By Lori Dugan
Thatcher, AZ—Two lucky Eastern Arizona College students were randomly selected to win an Apple iPad 2 for participating in the nationally recognized Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Survey. The survey, administered by the Independent Research Agency and EAC every three years, was offered online during the last three weeks of the spring semester.
The iPad winners were among nearly 1000 students who took the survey, representing a 14% return rate. EAC Dean of Instruction Janice Lawhorn said, “It’s statistically an excellent return that will provide us with accurate data that represents the entire student body.”
All current EAC students—both part-time and full-time—were invited to share their opinions about the College. The College’s executive administration will use the results of the survey to find out students’ perceptions about what works and what doesn’t at the school.
“I want to thank all the students who took the survey,” said EAC Provost Jeanne Bryce. “We used the results from the survey three years ago to implement some campus-wide changes. I’m looking forward to reviewing the new data and determining how those changes have had a positive impact on our students’ College experience.”
The winners of the new iPads were Vanessa Horning, a 2007 graduate of Mesquite High School in Gilbert, majoring in pre-nursing and Spenser Garner, a 2006 graduate of St. Johns High School majoring in general studies.
