EAC’s Discovery Park Campus Lecture Series, “Stuff Mother Never Told You About the Universe”

Thatcher, AZ—Discovery Park Campus welcomes John Chiravalle on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., in the Jupiter Room of Discovery Park Campus, for a free presentation entitled, “Stuff Mother Never Told You About the Universe.”
John Chiravalle is an astronomer, astro-photographer, MGIO telescope tours docent, teacher for Discovery Park Campus field trips, and operator of its 20" telescope located in the Gov Aker Observatory.
Chiravalle’s PowerPoint show and lecture will explore topics including the Earth, its water, and its sun, moon, and stars.
“If you’ve had a burning question about space, galaxies, or the universe in general, this is your opportunity to learn the latest science and theory about our universe,” says Paul Anger, Discovery Park Campus director. “Mr. Chiravalle has a way of sharing information that makes you think and question a little deeper about the exciting world of astronomy and physics.”
This presentation is suitable for all ages and families. There will be tours of the Gallery, Space Shuttle “Polaris” simulator rides, as well as a public viewing of night sky objects through the 20-inch telescope. For more information, contact Anger at (928) 428-6260.
