By Lori Dugan
THATCHER, AZ—The Arizona Department of Education has announced that it will be charging an administrative fee of $15 for GED testing beginning January 1, 2007, in addition to the existing $50 fee to take the exam.
Eastern Arizona College offers GED testing the first Tuesday and Wednesday of every month (excluding January and August).
The administrative fee will be added to cover part of the cost incurred by the Arizona Department of Education in administering the state GED testing program, including the cost of processing and scoring the test and issuing high school equivalency diplomas and transcripts.
For more information about the new fee, contact: Arizona Department of Education Adult Education Services at (602) 258-2410 or e-mail Peggy Weeks at: Peggy.Weeks@azed.gov.
