Thatcher, AZ—The Communicative Arts Division recently announced that it will be offering an extended-length, online English Literature I (ENG 221, section #7130) course this summer. Classes begin on May 28, 2013, and registration is going on now.
English Literature I covers English literature from the pre-middle ages up until the 18th century and is the only class being offered this summer that fulfills humanities and intensive writing requirements needed for graduation.
Dr. Peter Chidester, who teaches both the face-to-face and online sessions of ENG 221, says, “This is an amazing class that is both entertaining and educational. In it we will read some of the greatest works every penned while also learning a tremendous amount about British history and culture as we go. Not only can students look forward to some great reading, but they will also sharpen their critical reading and writing skills, which will prepare them for success in their future personal, academic, and professional endeavors.”
