EAC to offer Welding class this summer

Thatcher, AZ—Eastern Arizona College’s Welding Department will offer Welding 101 (section #6079) during the first session of the summer term, beginning on May 28, 2013, and running through June 28, 2013.

The course will be taught by Vance Myers, and will meet Monday through Thursday evenings from 5:30-9 p.m. in the Industrial Technology Building, Room #15, on the Thatcher campus.

This course teaches principles of arc and oxy-acetylene welding, flame cutting, and brazing, with emphasis on mastering basic welding techniques. It has been designed for students pursuing the Welding Technology Certificate, or current welders updating their skills. The course also supports automotive and drafting curricula.

Students wishing to enroll in Welding 101 may call EAC’s Records and Registration Office at 428-8270, or may register online at Regular tuition fees apply for this course along with a $20 lab fee.
