By Lori Dugan
Thatcher, AZ—Students interested in a career in aviation, or those simply interested in learning how to fly, will be happy to learn that EAC is now offering Aviation Ground School I, TEC120, section #0633, with local flight instructor, Steve Mayes. The class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 8-9:15 a.m., in the Academic Programs Building Room #272.
“This course is an opportunity for people to explore a new career path in aviation,” said Mayes, a seasoned private and commercial pilot and licensed flight instructor. “Or for anyone who’s ever dreamed of becoming a pilot.”
The course will cover topics such as aerodynamics, weather, aircraft instrumentation, and radio communications, just to name a few.
This is a regular, semester-length, three-credit class. Regular tuition and fees apply; Arizona residents 55-years-old and older qualify for a full, in-state tuition waiver.
