Computer Aided Design and Drafting

The Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) program prepares students for careers in technical design fields by teaching industry‑standard drafting practices and digital modeling skills. Through hands‑on coursework, students learn to create precise 2D drawings and detailed 3D models used in architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and product design.

Students develop proficiency with leading CADD software tools—such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revit—while gaining a strong foundation in design standards, blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical communication. Coursework emphasizes real‑world problem solving, accuracy, and collaboration, mirroring the expectations of modern engineering and design workplaces.
