A first course for beginning computerusers designed to introduce students who have
never used a computer to the basic elements of running a computer in a comfortable,
structured manner with significant instructor support in the lecture/demonstration
mode.
This course provides an introduction to Information Technology (IT) and is designed
to familiarize students with basic IT concepts. Students considering careers in IT
will use multiple learning formats to acquire foundational IT concepts and skills.
Students will prepare for the TestOut IT Fundamentals Pro and CompTIA IT Fundamentals+
(FC0-U61) certification exams by covering portions of those exams. This course is
the first in the sequence of two courses, CMP 107 and CMP 109.
