AHCCCS Scholarships

The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Eastern Arizona College have partnered to help students with the cost of attendance so they can work in home or community based behavioral health care or long-term care professions.

These scholarships will help cover the costs of:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Books and supplies
  • Technical equipment like laptops and calculators
  • Travel expenses
  • Additional student expenses

Application

Students who already received funding for the fall semester DO NOT need to reapply but will automatically requalify if they continue to meet all eligibility requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

Please review the following eligibility requirements. You must:

Be Enrolled at EAC

Enroll Now

Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or alien admitted as a refugee.

Commit to work for a Home and Community Based Service behavioral health or long-term care provider organization.

Must be a high school graduate

Declare a major in an eligible credit or non-credit degree or certificate program, including:

  • Behavioral Health Tech Certificate
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Certificate
  • Medical Assistant (MA) Certificate
  • Medical Coding Certificate
  • Registered Nurse (RN) AAS
  • Patient Care Technician Certificate
  • Phlebotomy Certificate
  • Psychology AA
